Mothers Around the World
May is the perfect time to pay tribute and say thank you to Nena & Co.’s mothers from around the world who make the beautiful pieces in our collections from Kenya, Ghana, Morocco, Mexico, and of course, Guatemala. We are sensitive to the needs of our weavers and pride ourselves in working with women who can make living wages working creatively from home so they can care for their children along with other responsibilities or to work in facilities.
Cheers to these women who have paved their own way, who are becoming entrepreneurs in their own right, creating stability for herself and her family, who are passing their knowledge and skill set on to their children and teaching them to love who they are and where they come from. May we all make this world a smaller one by recognizing the beauty of women all over the world and encouraging their diverse ambitions.
